Ask whether the pool is private or shared, and whether it is heated in winter.

Check how far the resort is from the dunes and from Jaisalmer.
Questions worth asking
How old are the photographs on the website? What is the bed, and how is the room kept cool or warm? Is the evening programme included, and how late does the music run? How many rooms does the property have? A smaller property usually means a quieter night.
Reading reviews
Look at recent reviews with guest photos and sort by newest. Comments on cleanliness, hot water and staff are more useful than general praise. Be wary if a property’s reviews are all perfect, all recent and all similar.
